DISTINGUISHED GUESTS TESTIMONIALS
“Showcasing innovation and environmental responsibility in passionate young people of all ages. I was impressed and humbled by their ideas and passion. If these students are our future then we are in good hands. Congratulations to the Green Innovation Awards for providing a platform for local students to combine creativity, learning and collaboration with environmental responsibility. I look forward to seeing next years projects.”

“The event was both refreshing and entertaining to see our younger generation thinking outside the square and responding to current real every day issues in our communities. So many solutions that were presented on the day have the potential to make big differences in the way we live our lives with some of these ideas including the importance on cleaning up our water ways to food and water conservation.”

Listening and watching primary and secondary students present sustainable and alternative solutions to environmental concerns proved inspiring. Thinking outside the box, presenting practical modern solutions and working with sustainable technologies make the Green Innovation Awards a thought provoking event. Listening to the next generation of leaders present improved ways of doing business, identifying new business opportunities in primary industry, clothing and education was thought provoking. The Green Innovation Awards brought a cross section of Government and Industry people together who otherwise may not have crossed paths to listen to students present pathways forward for all. It opened pathways for future collaboration between students, industry and Government and as it grows in stature those opportunities will only increase.

It was exciting to be a guest at the inaugural Green Innovation Awards. I commend your focus and determination to bring the awards to life. It was great to see students from across the Northern Rivers embrace their projects with enthusiasm and I can’t wait to see what innovative ideas arrive at the awards next year and the years after.

I was delighted to attend the inaugural Northern Rivers Green Innovation Awards and see Empire Vale School win the Primary School section. They presented a performance art pieve about using sugar cane to as a biofuel and it was amazing! Congratulations to all of the schools that entered, Trinity Catholic College for hosting the event and founder Bridie Cullinane for a brilliant initiative.
